A pensioner who shot to fame on X Factor has spoken of his shame after being caught scrawling his name on the side of a business with a marker pen.

But in February, retired hairdresser Ray, 69, was caught by police scrawling ‘Salfords Ray B X Factor’ in permanent marker. on the side of CabCo on Great Cheetham Street East.

Ray admitted criminal damage at Salford magistrates’ court and received a 3 month conditional discharge. He was ordered to pay £20 compensation and £85 costs.

He was dancing the Star Wars' theme too, and he continued with some Grease music XD.
