Archos 101 Network Streaming Access (Anime)

A demonstration of what you could do with an actual file system.

None of these files are on the Archos. All of them are being accessed from my file server.

No cables, no file converters, no copying.

The manga reader i used is called ACV (Android Comic Viewer)

So mb I will put it in other way. Is your screen bright when reading manga or rather grey and faded-out?

No problem reading it. The reports about the screen having horrible angles only apply to color (Try looking at your TFT monitor from below). But when displaying in black and white, like ebooks or mangas, the angles are much better. Good thing mangas are in grayscale.

Can't really tell what the standard for ultra and average is. I just get them as is and rename the ZIP files into CBZ. Manga scanners rarely have two working on the same manga so whatever version you're reading now is probably the same one i'm using.

Just retried a few of the anime's. Looks like the archos can play more than the ATI card afterall =P It played all my 480p@16refs (3200HD can't do that), and a sample video i have that's 720p@9refs. It wasn't able to play my Hatsukoi Unlimited which was 720p@16Refs, Angel Beats 720p@11refs. So i'd guess that 9 is the limit.

All my other 720p series on hand are usually around 5refs with some going up to 8refs and they play fine.

@Ibushi well I guess I should ask what can you play on your ati 3200hd I don't believe that to be a very powerful chip.

Not if there are too many reference frames. If an anime doesn't play on my ATI 3200HD GPU, it's not gonna play on the Archos =P

hello i was thinking of getting one of these for anime on since watching on my laptop is a little uncomfortable to use like laying on your bed n what not also this would be more portable. i used to have the archos 5 but it did not seem to do very well playing mkv files i was just wondering how well this handled them i normally watch them in 480p and 720p.
