Some people never die by Hawkwind. Taken from the Church of Hawkwind album.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Church_of_Hawkwind

This is my first attempt at video editing. The clips of film I've added, kindly came from snippits off You Tube. I have muted the sound on the videos, apart from when Oswald's ambulance is driven away, I left the sound of the siren playing. The rest of the sound you hear is purely from the song itself.

The footage at the beginning of the video is from the famous Zapruder Film of the JFK assasination. There is no complete footage available of Robert Kennedy being shot, nor of Sirhan Sirhan being restrained.

Thanks go to Hawkwind who've been entertaining me for many moons and to Bob Calvert (RIP). To John Fitzgerald Kennedy and Robert Francis Kennedy for their vision on life. A mention also goes to the infamous people, Lee Harvey Oswald, Jack Ruby and Sirhan Sirhan. Without them, this wouldn't be history.

As the song says, some people never die, whether they be famous or infamous.

  • Interesting. BTW: there is a video clip of Sirhan being hustled through the Ambassador Hotel lobby by police and Kennedy aides after being seized in the pantry. The scene was captured by NBC, which recorded it and played it back on the air a few minutes later. NBC also broadcast film of the crowd outside the hotel attempting to attack Sirhan while the police tried to get him into a squad car.

  • Thanks Rael. I'll check that out.

  • Finally someone has added the video to this amazing track! Brilliant. Is worth checking out the "Assasin" version of this track off of the Dave Brock solo album that came out the year before Church, not as heavy as the HW version but interestingly good none the less.

    Big up to MickyStarr :)

  • I got this album for xmas on vinyl :D
