You're right. Carbon Dating IS NOT used to date materials that are older than carbon half life. There are other radioactive elements whose half lifes are bigger. Search. There are like a dozen other radiometric dating methods. If you wanted to learn and not just discard what jepardizes your beliefs you'd know better.

@AaronsBlackBox The miss-calculated dates in cases of Carbon=14 dating are well known. The examples creationists pick out are subjects that were exposed to contamination. We fully understand the reasons why Certain subjects exadurate their actuall age.

I love these claims that something was carbon dated at such and such a date. By whom? A nutball Christian who knows nothing about radio metric dating? Please show me one legitimate C14 dating done by any scientist (in the correct field of course) who has ever dated a living snail at 100k years old! PLEASE show me this. And with all things mistakes can be made, that is why numerous tests are done, checked and rechecked, but almost always are corrected.

That's what he always does.

when u are talking about what the science book is talking about u re-use the information it is the same as reading an article, u usually dont come up with your own way of thinking u re-use the same info that you agree with. and what more can u expect from a chlid, dont children always learn things from somwere, until they start using there logical thinking. u were no different from him when u were this little.
just because carbon dating has been wrong in it's infancy doesn't mean we should throw it out as rubbish, every technology has it's trial and error stage and now it's improving all the time. Most things can be dated by several fundamentally different ways and give you the same accurate time frame, over and over again

Also the fundamental 'mistakes and assumptions' he points out, are mostly all false.
