@pwg1126 Im so sorry for your loss. I was prescribed dex amphetamine for ADHD when I was younger and I can definately say it ruined my life for about ten years. I take ritalin or concerta only occaisonaly now.........would never take dex amphetamine again!

My 22 yr old son died on Nov 4 from his Ritalin. He began abusing it about 3 yrs ago, He took up to 30 pills when he went on a binge. He hated this curse he had, but once you are addicted even with treatment your odds are about 6% that you can stop for 1 yr. God help you. He died with a vomit bad in his hand, and the withdraw pains I hear are terrible. He was like some of you. He wanted to be successful, but he thought his ADD would not let him and he felt the Ritalin made it hard to feel joy.
