This is our entry to the Imagine Cup 2009 game dev competition's prototype phase.
Villa Penguila is a casual mathematical puzzle game for kids of all ages. Our goal is to make learning basics of math easy and fun, in addition to having the player feel rewarded afterwards. The basic idea of the game is solving given mathematical problems with numbers falling from the sky. The twist is that falling numbers are rarely the correct ones, so the player has to add the together or divide them first. You have to think fast because there is only a limited time to solve as many problems as possible before night is over and the game is lost!
We have made the game so it can run on even the slower computers, thus allowing it to be installed in machines found in developing countries as well. We want to provide tools for players who wish to educate themselves independently, and have some fun while at it!
