This is the original Lavender Town music as heard on my Pokemon Green cartridge. Yeah, that high-pitched riff is annoying as heck. Try wearing headphones for added effect. Eugh.
Personally I think Lavender Town Syndrome is a bunch of bull, but hey, has anyone really disproved it? I can see how kids could get a headache from listening to this for too long. Going insane, though? Your guess is as good as mine.

there doesnt appear to be anything special about this, just the concept that yes, sometimes high pitched noises give people headaches.
