The song was remixed by myself using "The Funk Phenomena" by Armand Van Helden and, just about every James Brown song I've got. The premise is this: When a person loads a new program into a computer, during installation, he/she sees animations, like a progress bar and pictures and text. If you think about it, you don't really need to see this. This is just to keep you entertained while the program is loading. Still, back then I was fascintated with computers, so when I'd see this, I got some impression that the computer's personal environment was being altered. So I thought it would be interesting to explore what would happen if I were to install a computer program, and my actual environment was being altered.

  • Hey, I just saw Mr. Mad. How old is this footage? I'll take rollerskating over rollerblading ANY DAY!!!

  • @afrosensuous Wow.... how far back do YOU go that you remember "Mr. Mad"???

Most of the footage was shot in 1997. I used old clips from the 80's of Mad 'cause even though he quit skating, I thought he should be represented.

  • good mix ! please help me I'm looking for since 20 years (really) the version of '' it takes two"" at 6:37 (not sure it this version, but what is it ?) we can heard it in IBIZA in 1988. It was a big succes in the island & amnesia club, sure it's not the Rob baze version.

  • I think what you're asking me is... what song did Rob Base sample to make "It Takes Two".

If I'm right, the song you're looking for is called "Think" by Lyn Collins. If you can't find it, send me your email address and I'll send it to you.

  • it's not this original version, but thanks I like it !! it was a hip house sound more like Rob Base, maybe it was a rare mix from them... every night it was the same mix, Rickster "night moves", Kraze "the party" , Royal house "can you party" & ??? ; ( thanks again for your help !

  • Maybe you're thinking of "Go on girl" by Roxanne Shante?
