Henna night, the night before a wedding in Turkey, is celebrated with non-stop dancing (or so it seemed to me).The henna ceremony prepares the bride for marriage. The bridegroom's mother presents her with gold. Although modern dancing is popular, folklore dances are still performed. Here, two young men enter into the spirit of things. The women continued processing round in a circle. It was extremely hot this particular evening. The festivity was held in the street outside the home of the bride's parents. My husband's nephew married was marrying a Turkish lady.
