There are nuts everywhere. You are unusually beautiful and you are going to get fan mail. Fan is just short for "fanatic."

I do have to say that it is cringeworthy seeing video after video of people who just heard of something and thusly assume nobody else ever heard of it.

Here's the deal IMO. I think that among any group of men, some number of them will be pure jerks who are unable or unwilling to rein themselves in. When those jerks are going after (arbitrary example) blondes, their impact on a particular blonde is minimized by the fact that there are billions of blondes. Amputees are far less numerous (in proportion to the number of relevant fetishists, not just overall), so you get stuck dealing with way more than your fair share of jerks.

I'm a guy in wheelchair and I completely agree with everything you said. I'm not quite sure how I feel about the whole devotee thing. It's flattering in a way but a person should love us for who we are. It's nice to have some people attracted to something I'm ashamed of but in the end, people need to love us for who we truly are. Sooo, "hey! eyes up here" hehehe. If a girl "really" loves me for who I am and happens to be turned on to my different body, well, heck why not :)

I like your bird. He/she sounds very interesting. Also, I agree with your thoughts on “devoteeism”. Though it is nice that some people really do find us attractive with our “differences” included. In most cases it shows that they find us fascinating, just like, as you said, big boobs, blue eyes, etc.

The greater majority of "devotees" are quite respectful. Its the noisy, nasty guys and gals that are rude and "horn-dogs".
