Jackie Pearce discusses a real-life encounter with Steven Pacey that inspired a scene in the Blakes 7 series four episode "Sand", which was written by Tanith Lee.

The interview is audio only with stills from Sand, followed by the relevant scene from the episode.

Paul Darrow can be heard laughing uproariously in the background.

The interviewers are Sheelagh Wells and Joe Nazzaro, authors of "Blakes 7: The Inside Story". (Sheelagh Wells also worked on the show as a make-up artist).

The interview with Pearce and Darrow took place in the late 1990s, and was part of Sheelagh Wells' "Together Again" series of interviews which reunited various B7 cast members and were available on audio cassette.

  • Have you seen Jackie these days? She still looks amazing, and I think if they were to have a new series of Blakes 7 they should cast her as Servalan again.

  • Utterly delightful, thank you for sharing this interview.

  • What a delightful, wickedly mischevious comments by Pearce. I can't believe they played the scene in "Sand" with a straight face. LOL

  • lol great video thanks for posting

  • She put the "Grrrr!" in "Cou-grrrr!". Pacey was a lucky, lucky man to have her hitting on him.

  • Steven Pacey favors Richard Hatch of Battlestar Galactica fame.

  • Happy Birthday, Steven Pacey :) (5 June)

  • They are all giggling like children telling each other naughty jokes!

  • I agree totally with the last comment, what a lost opportunity! But I agree with servalan, as Stephen Pacey is still very decorative!

  • Sand drove me crazy - it was originally submitted by Tanith Lee to be for Avon and Servalan, but the producers thought it would be "too much" for the characters. Whereas I thought it would have been Just Right!
