  • Find it difficult to believe that a drink with caffeine decreases cortisol...

  • @herbal1971 You bring up a good point and a distinction that should be made here. If you are already stressed out you should not drink the black tea...the caffeine can increase you level of stress. This should be more of proactive strategy that will increase your capacity to reduce the stress response that happens which will in turn help keep testosterone higher and cortisol levels lower. Translating to more effective use of body fat as fuel.

  • @herbal1971 The University College in London found that drinking 1-4 cups black tea per day can reduce your cortisol levels by 20-25%! Since elevated cortisol levels are associated with abdominal fat storage, inefficient fat breakdown, and carb cravings, you'll burn more and stick to your healthy meal plan better! Drink 8-16 oz. a few times per day you can add seasoning and spice such as cloves/cinammon/etc, but no extra calories.

  • @herbal1971 Tea provides healthy catechins, polyphenols, flavonoids, amino acids, and a small amount of caffeine, which may all, some, or in combinations provide the healthy, stress-reducing benefits. Make it ice-cold black tea, and you'll get even more calorie benefit!

  • @HeadShotOwnage That's a great tip!

  • When I brew tea to make a gallon, I mix in a few green tea bags with the black tea bags. Get the benefits of both.

  • @herbal1971 its naturally decaf. most consumer products/refined products have caffeine added

  • what about orange pekoe? is that a good black tea to consume?

  • wow, great info!!

  • In actual fact ; both the green and black teas are good for the health minus the sugar and artificial flavors of course.

When you do consume or drink tea , do not add sugar and that will aid in weight loss as it increases metabolism , calms the mind , promotes faster muscle reactions and saves the stomach linings and heart from illness and heart attacks.

Black teas or Green teas are both beneficial to all.

    Peace
