question... can you save the council? because i wanted to play me2 with a different storyline that carried over from me1. i deleted me1 save files but it didn't do anything different... i think.

@shizznah you can, and you get to talk to them in me2 if you did save them in the first game.

i deleted my me1 save game because i wanted to see the story with the council in me2. when i started me2, the council were still dead though.

any suggestions on how i get the other dialogue?

@shizznah me2 default story has the council dead, only way is to get a me1 save with the council alive. You can probably find a save game online if you really want to import that, unless your playing xbox360 version.

@analogmarz So whether the Council ends up dead or not (with the Humans starting a 'new' Council) in Mass Effect 1 when you play Mass Effect 2 they are dead anyways??

@MrPaulorico if you didn't save the council they don't appear in ME2, if you did save them you will see them in ME2.

Honestly I can't wait for ME3.. if only for the chance to finally kick the Reaper's asses.

I developed something of a grudge after facing the collectors and hearing "WE ARE INFINITELY YOUR GREATER" and "THIS HURTS YOU" A bajillion times... The posessed collectors were nothing but bullet sponges anyway.

When I was near the end, I was literally on the verge of just yelling "OH SHUT UP I KILLED YOU FIFTY TIMES"

mass effect series are the best game ever, I can play it hundreds of times over and over and still cant explore everything! so much possibilities, game of the future :)
