I degrade myself by trying to be something I'm not.. - and in all honesty - don' t want to be: a man. As women, we will never reach true liberation until we stop trying to mimic men, and value the beauty in our own God-given distinctiveness.

Given the American context, that there are plenty of men in New york who know the Qur'an, we should unequivocally state: as Imam Ibn Hubierah [d. 560A.H.] rahimahullah says:
They [the scholars] have complete consensus that it is not permissible for a woman to lead a man in prayer in obligatory prayers.

Check the wikipedia stats, athiesm is the fastest growing belief system by proportion. People are getting educated with time, whether you like it or not.
