(HD)-Christmas Eve and Day Railfanning in San Diego

On the first two days of my trip, I decided to railfan the downtown San Diego area and saw some of the evening Coasters and Surfliners.

Info is listed below:

San Diego,CA (12/24/11)-

Train #1-Amtrak Pacific Surfliner #578 arrives into San Diego with AMTK #457 leading.

Train #2-Amtrak Pacific Surfliner #587 departs San Diego on time.

Train #3-Coaster #692 arrives into San Diego a couple minutes early.

Train #4-The silent night is broken as Amtrak Pacific Surfliner #591 departs.

Train #5-Coaster #693 pulls out of San Diego as it heads north toward Oceanside.

Train #5-Amtrak Pacific Surfliner #784 rounds the curve in the distance as it passes by W. Beech Street.

Train #6-The last northbound Amtrak Pacific Surfliner (#595) of Christmas Eve passes by with an Awesome K5LA and a double set.

12/25/11

Train #7-Amtrak Pacific Surfliner #578 creeps around the curve past by W. Cedar Street.

Train #8-Amtrak Pacific Surfliner #587 departs San Diego.

Train #9-Amtrak Pacific surfliner #591 passes by and heads north toward Los Angeles.

Train #10-AMTK #155 leads Pacific Surfliner #582 into San Diego 8 minutes early.

Train #11-Amtrak Pacific Surfliner #784's is wyed just south of here. I didn't include the shot of it coming back.

Train #12-Amtrak Pacific Surfliner #595 passes by with P42DC #155 chugging hard.

Glad it's not a quiet zone yet! Wonderful horn action!!! The P42's sound especially good down there. Looks like the P42's might be down there to stay.  I hope to visit San Diego again in February. My favorite railfanning spot now. Good job on the video!!!

@AmtrakCal462 thank you! I tried to tell people in socal but i had no access to a computer. I planned to only be there a week but the vacation was extended due to a serious medical emergency.
