Oh, the sarcasm. Can you guys handle it, or will you flood my page with flaming comments?

I would also like to announce my new YouTube channel, EricsTechTalk. It's for technical support and general talk about computers and technology. (That way The Adventures of Eric and Steven isn't mixed up with all of that.)

  • Ubuntu as the mass market it now - you install it and it just works and the default software it just amazing. Try it you will love it! When your missing a Media Codec Ubuntu will ask if you wont to install it!

  • Yeah, I own Ubuntu and Kubuntu (which I've never

  • Mate what you need is some Ubuntu goodness or maybe a dash of SUSE

  • FINALLY, a Linux user to talk to. THANK YOU, GOD! I own over 18 linux distros, btw, including Ubuntu and openSUSE 10.2 ;)

Personally, I'm a fan of PCLinuxOS 2007, myself. It makes a great high-performance, lightweight OS without compromising features. You should check it out some time; it has a livecd-based installer like Ubuntu.

  • Mate there around 30 Million of us. I going to try SUSE Enterprise it look well cool but I will always love Ubuntu and it ease of use

  • Not as many around Youtube though, I find.

I personally love SUSE, although I've never tried Enterprise. Paying for Linux seems to me to kind of defeat the purpose of the whole philosophy. There is only one 'nix distro I'm considering paying for and it's Solaris 10, the world's most advanced, secure OS. It's Unix-based.

  • (sorry bout the messed up comment.)

...touched). I've used Ubuntu quite a bit and, frankly, I'm not all that impressed with it. Don't get me wrong, it's a great OS, and I can see why it's popular. It just doesn't provide for a true power user as much as SUSE or PCLOS.

And Edubuntu I think is great for kids. I've built 9 computers for a public computer lab for the city's student tutoring/summer camp programs, and they all run it. It's amazing how fast the kids pick it up.
