Judge Dredd Pinball with L1 Deadworld Mod

Video of me playing Judge Dredd Pinball with the installed L1 Deadworld Mod working. The spinning disk called deadworld was supposed to physically lock balls as you build up to multiball. The game designers predicted that this feature could break on location, permenately trapping balls on the disk. This feature was scrapped and only recently became available from pinbits.com.




The footage was sent to me on a DVD. I made this video using DVDx and the sound is out of sync, and the video quality is poor. I will try again with this software, if anyone has any suggestions on how to use DVDx better please comment.

It was composed by Vince Ponterelli (sp?) just for the game, so i'd assume it's called "Judge Dredd Main Play Tune." If you watch the IJ Pinball Promo viceo they talk about DCS alot, and you can see him playing a guitar riff from Dredd in it!

I remember playing that game all the time in college. I easily think that is the best Pinball machine I've seen. I really liked all the mini-games and their themes. The ball locking device with the balls traveling around that planet (portal or whatever) was a super idea.

I don't use DVDx, but I can give a tip or two for your next video. Maybe try mounting the camera where we can see more of the playfield & DMD. A stack of books or a shelf help with that easily. Also, maybe put in the description of the video what the MOD does? Just saying for those of us who don't know what sets the Deadworld Mod apart from the regular game play. Hope that helps a bit. -Heflin
