A tribute to my awesome son who is recovering from Autism and is doing very well. He attends a fantastic pre-school that I give all the credit. I don't know where we'd be without them.

  • happy for them =)

  • would you pls tell me if he was late in speaking? and when he start to talk?

  • I am in tears as I watch this vide with my 3 year old son on my lap. He was diagnosed with autism and I am trying to find a preschool in the Raleigh/Durham, NC area for him to began ABA teaching. If anyone has any information regarding this, please email me at princesspedew@yahoo.com. This is a blessing you son has recovered and I THANK God for this blessing and I THANK GOD in advance for my son QJ blessing too.

  • thanks god :)

  • I also went up the chain of command with the school, got my local ARC agency involved, spoke with every Autism group. I just kept drilling people till I got results. It was the longest year of my life and I still fight and advocate to get services paid for. But my son is thriving and because of me being aggressive, I forced the school district and head start to hear me. Stay strong!

  • Try to apply for all the services you can everywhere. Bang on doors, go to advocates, call everybody you can think of try local MHMR, attorneys. Research. It's hard. I had to fight for funding to get my sons ABA therapy. I struggled for a year and finally got them to help. There are no schools in my area and the school district was not able to handle a Autistic child. After all of the noise I made. They made a program. No your rights, your tax's pay for services. Never give up.

  • It can happen, as long as you never give up and use that small window to pull your child out. I did the same thing for my son! Healthy, happy, as friends and is doing everything that doctors said he would never do! ABA is a BLESSING and the educators that never gave up with me! Good job mom!

  • Congratulations on the recovery of your son :D

  • @bergcycles1 Have u tried GFCF diet? We are getting great results with that! Never give up, yes there is a ton more you can do, just learn, read, and never give up. Best of Luch

  • I wish we had schools like that here. I had put my 3 year old in headstart for his speech delay, I had noticed that after 6 months he had made absolutly no progress. After 6 months was summer break, I worked with him as much I could and he has made some progress. People don't understand why I keep him home instead of returning him to headstart. I am looking into other treatments.
