Tone Television-Marshall JMP 50 watt-Fuzz-Fender Strat.

Hey everybody! Here is a demo featuring a bunch of new stuff. A Marshall small box 50 is first on the list. It's from 1970, and it has mojo. For distortion, I'm using a Super Scary Face Fuzz, and My trusty 66 Strat RI fills the bill.
I'm using a Marshall 1960B for a speaker cabinet.

I'm using a newer camera too. A Sony HDR-SR11

Great sound Andy, but you must have more than a fuzz box in your signal. I hear delay or reverb or both. Am I right?

Little bit of reverb and slap added at mixdown to blend it in with the original track backing track.

I always record at a "gig" volume, and most of the time, add effects during mixdown.

Sometimes I do cut "wet" though. ;-)

The signal going into the recorder is dry though. Just the fuzz and a cord

Loud playing is fun, so sorry for next question... Do you think that using some kind of good attenuator (for example THD Hot Plate) would significantly impact tone ?
