Only game of which i loved the menu music :)
Almost makes me want to build a pentium 2 PC so i can play it without crashes, to fast gameplay, screen corruption.
Heres hoping the new owners of the franchise make a good Red Baron 3 game based on RB2.. the greatest flight sim ever.

Anybody remember this good post-mission-briefing?

When this sreen came around with this music - you know that you will have fun soon!
As I got it, I was 15, late 90tes,the WWI wasnt far, some veterans were alive and the graphics of this game was pretty good!
This simulation had all it need and a good surface and menu and a option to create own missions.
The campaign was clever made and you had some possibilities. For this time of games, I must say, the sky over France was beside the mission also very frequently with enemies.
I love this game

I could listen to that first song forever.

I had fun with it even without really knowing how to pilot (and as a French I barely find simulators where French airplanes are preponderant... hail Spad XIII !). I have to retry it seriously without having my hand held by the automatic pilot !

GOG.com has it for win 7 :)

One of the best soundtracks ever made. Still remember all the great times my brother and I had with this game. The manual was also very detailed and filled with LOTS of info, unlike anything today. The developers really put their hearts into this one. Always loved rushing into the enemies and getting a medal for being a Rambo. Or doing some extra side quests/kills and getting some more medals. Or just do random stuff like flying as high a possible and making the plane cry and/or ripped apart. =)
I think the first one is the theme of "the great escape".You can listen to it on youtube.I dont´t know if that´s the original version of the song.
