Holyfield, who went 12 rounds in a mediocre performance against Vaughn Bean 10 days ago, becomes 36 next month.
Emanuel Steward, Lewis' trainer, said he would welcome the Holyfield matchup. "If it was Evander who fought Bean Vaughn (sic), I wouldn't worry about it," he said.

People critisize lewis on been a boring fighter without a huge heart but when you look at Ali's carreer, dancing around the ring, holding the back of the head etc its hard to have the perfect boxer. i give lewis credit because he did completely dominate his era by doing it his way and it was effective. what ever you think about him you got admit it. Same with the klitschkos, they are critisized as been very boring but they completely dominate. Love or hate them thats how they do it.

Lewis won this and the rematch. I understand some people gave holyfield the rematch. No chance, as great as holyfield is, and i really believe he is a great. Lewis was far too good. Lennox lacked something to many people, the excitement of Tyson, the warrior of holyfield, the americaness of Bowe. For me he is the best heavyweight of the 1990s and early 2000s.
