  • These things happen at a much more strategic level. As dumb as some of our leaders are, they have access to sensitive information, which we do not. USSR used to be the big daddy but not anymore. USA has some of the best systems in the world and India will only benefit from the competition.

  • There was vey little point in india signing this defence pact and besides, why would india need to buy american made weapons considering that they can build their own tanks and missiles and the SU30s they get from Russia have served them well. In regards to their medium range combat aircraft thing. India would would be better off buying the Gripen or the MIG 35 no need to buy american planes and the Eurofighter would most likely be to expensive

  • And India is going to turn right around and sell our technology to China and Russia. Then when Obama gets done disarming us, they all 3 will turn on us like rabid dogs. Why is 'former' Soviet ally suddenly America's big 'friend' worthy of our most advanced weapons? We're being set up people!

It's pervasive hunger, poverty, malnutrition, illiteracy, a huge and growing rich-poor gap, and a well-established system of caste-based Apartheid, and its terrible governance make its democracy a joke. And its history of widespread persecution of its minorities makes its secular label ludicrous
