I don't get it. Big Oil has millions of feet of land that they can use. But instead they want more for offshore drilling. Use the land that you have first, we already gave it up for a lot less than most countries sale their land for.

Drilling off-shore isn't a well planned strategy. We wouldn't see any of that oil for around 10 years at the most, I think I heard 3 at the least. But either way, we need something else other than oil. Off-shore drilling is really nothing more than a stop-gap strategy to keep politicians and oil companies making money off each other. We need a new form of energy other than fossil fuels.
