Actually, science IS a belief. We know it's testified by experiments. But how do we know that our theories is the correct explanation, that there isn't another theory that can also explain equally well everything. This is where belief comes in place, and that is also why many theories having been accepted before is rejected by new experiment. There's always a chance that future events will reject our currently accepted theories. Science is never the ultimate truth, and so are religions.
