You tell 'em orhun20! Turkey happens to be a proud, SECULAR country with a strong democratic foundation (as of WWI). Sadly the same can't be said for America when those Bible-thumping douchebags go apeshit over homosexuality and abortions. If anything, the US under Bush was probably closer to Iran (in terms of religious fundamentalism ) than it was to Turkey. Also, the acid throwing is done by a fringe of Muslims, much like the bombing of Abortion clinics is done by a fringe of Christians.
