There are so many actresses around who can also sing and dance well, it is shocking the mediocre Zellweger landed this part. She must have a great agent. She also lacks the sex appeal the part calls for.

@MzMcqueens Yes! I saw a special once, I think it was on PBS or something, just before the movie came out, and it was like a three hour behind the scenes look at the rehersals. I muted all the crap with Renee (not a fan) but I watched Catherine intently and it was all her!

It is no wonder why this movie got the Oscar for best film. I absolutely LOVE it, it of exceptional quality from beginning to end, from cast to direction to music to set. Excellent, excellent, EXCELLENT!!!

Catherine Zeta Jones is so talented! She embraces all the glamour . And I love how she says " I guess we could say... THANK YOU!", she looks so determined when she says THANK YOU. I love that line.
