Very nice vacuum cleaner!! We had an Apex cannister-type vacuum from the same era. It was shaped like a cigar with ends that were silver metal and a middle that was army green. I remember that it had a cloth dust bag with a cloth handle on the bottom. The vacuum also had two metal "runners", like sled runners, on the bottom instead of wheels. The hose was covered with a woven fabric. It was a powerful vac. When mom got rid of it in the 1990s, it still ran but needed a new switch. Wish I had it!

Chad: I AM salivating, again!!!!!!! Is this the make of vac that actually had the brushroll that spun backwards in order not to catch the ends of area rugs? What a Grand Old Lady!!! Thanks for sharing!
Unfortunately no, this is a later version after Apex knuckled under and went with the flow with a normally spun brushroller. I do have the earlier "Air-Flo" series that has the which-way handle, and the backwards revolving roller. I will show you that machine soon in a later video...Keep watching!!!
