  • @scientificallyunstab True, but why aren`t we born with feet that are formed like shoes. For you body composition, and to prefend injury, it is best done bare footed, even if it means you can do less weight. Still, if your only goal is to lift as much as possible, without taking anything else into acount, shoes are your best bet. Sorry for the very late reply.

  • This is my opinion, but the weight is too heavy for her. And her core is not strong enough to support that weight, thus she has no balance and can't complete a single rep.

  • Damn! A snatch is impressive, but an overhead squat is even more impressive cuz it's so damn hard! Good luck to you, you've just inspired me to train harder. :)

  • @sconnection I completely disagree. If you want to achieve depth in the overhead squat (or, for that reason, any squat) you are better off with weightlifting shoes. The angle of the shoe allows you to be more upright and stable at the bottom. If you do it bare foot, your body will go forward more and this, incidently, will cause you to go onto your toes. There's a good reason why weightlifters wear shoes rather than doing the lift bare foot.

  • @scientificallyunstab Lifts like these are much easier if you do them bare footed, since you are actually way more balanced then.

  • @Bamdetg No. Those plates say 25 lbs on them, but they look the size of 45's. Besides, the description says BODYWEIGHT overhead squat, and I highly doubt she weighs 165 lbs.

  • You have most likely already got it since it has been 3 years but the fault is in your ankle mobility.
