Take a ride via cataraft on Oregon's Sandy RIver. This run is a remarkably well-preserved section of river just 30 minutes from Portland, Oregon. Just a hundred yards from the boat ramp is the first Class 3 rapid - Pipeline - which starts things off with a splash. Later is the upper minefield, a boulder-strewn rock garden (Class 2+), and about half way down the 8 mile run is the second minefield (Class 3). If you're considering running your driftboat down this section, you'll really want to see this!
Still great footage, and dig that music to....

@SixSpeedSS I see nobody replied to you, unless they did so in a message. Pretty much just dodge to oxbow are like this until you get into Dabney, the rest is mostly smooth riding all the way to glen otto.

Neat music. Who's the group?
I'm planning to move up to the PNW from AZ in a few years, and Troutdale came up on my radar. Had no idea the Sandy was this big, and strong of a river. I thought it was quite a bit smaller/slower. Looks like a beautiful area.

Love this footage of the river. Me and my daughter went white water canoeing 4 years ago and got the canoe ripped in half on the large rocks on the left at the beginning of the video. Just before the pipe bridge after dodge. The water was running really fast, deep, and cold. The rocks are out of the water in your video, but that day they were half submerged. Love the Sandy river. Headed to Glen Otto right now. Peace Out.

Very nice - Never had a chance to drift that stretch. Definitely more challenging than Oxbox to Dabney!
