Great tutorial. Thanks. But, if you use pro res proxy with Flip camera the video quality will degrade. So, I use 422 to ensure better quality output...

hi there, do you have any suggestions on which settings to use with final cut pro 5?

Thanks! This helped a lot. I couldn't figure out what in the world was wrong before. It was all the MP4!

@tallboycomms Great video, life saver actually lol. Was stressing out on how to get my mp4 files to work with fcp thanks a lot! When I export it out as a .mov apple pro res 4444 or it creates a very large file, can you recommend a setting that is good quality but a normal video size file? Thanks again!
Okay so I have Final Cut Pro Six. Should I just use the Apple ProRes 422? Will it work fine?

Awesome tutorial! Thanks... can you recommend what compression to use for Final Cut Express? I have less options in MPEG Streamclip and none of them seem to like FCE without rendering everytime... Cheers

@ScholesDan Final Cut Express doesn't support Apple Pro Res codec unless you have Final Cut Pro on the same machine or you can download the QuickTime plug in from Apple and this should work OR in MPEG Streamclip change the compression setting from Apple ProRes to Apple HDV 720p30. Hope this helps.
