Referendum on Torture: Debate Over Role of Psychologists in Military Interrogations Comes to a Head at APA Annual Convention

The debate over the role that psychologists should play in military interrogations heated up this weekend at the annual convention of the American Psychological Association. After years of back-and-forth discussion and several resignations from the association, APA members are now voting on a referendum that could make any participation in coercive prisoner interrogations a violation of their code of ethics. Meanwhile, California became the first state in the nation to officially condemn the participation of health professionals—including psychologists—in coercive interrogations of prisoners in the so-called war on terror. @Doctoracerebro Let's be TOTALLY honest here. A TRULY ethical psychologist would re-think all forms of helping people to assimilate back into such a corrupt socio-economic system altogether. It's time for psychologists, sociologists, anthropologists, neuroscientists and many other overlapping fields of professionals to merge and to promote an updated socio-economic system. It's our responsibility. Never before has the scientic method been applied to our socioeconomic system. It's time.

It is very irronic how some one else other than the Goverment are blamed for such astrocities,It would be very difficult for an actual Ethical Psycologist would do such torturing, and just mabe some Psycologist are being used by our own Darn Goverment..

But I totally understand, coercive persuasion is the reason of campus shooting tragedies, especially, split mind work by brain bomb. Anyone could help innocent people who abused by psychiatry.

Hello, I am under coercive persuasion in a college. I was psychologically tortured using HLP - chaining anchoring techniques. After that they keep torturing me on the community level using blackmail, threading, and anchoring. They make anchoring sounds every night. How could I handle my situation. I do not want to suicide which they want me to do. I don't want to be criminal, like a campus shooter.
