  • how to create my own patches? then transmit it to the R3

  • @danielnbebawi My best guess is you'd create them within the editor, export them to the librarian, and transmit to the R3.

  • @futurereflecti0ns Strange... My instructions were pretty conclusive. I'm pretty sure I covered every step. I suppose you could try restarting your computer?

  • @enthusia492

how to i transmit a program to the synth? is there any setting i need to set on the synth? i followed the instructions on this video, and the program says the sound is transmitting but there is no difference on the synth

  • @futurereflecti0ns ah, gotcha

  • @enthusia492

oh, it's one of the downloads available from the korg forum :)

  • @futurereflecti0ns whats a hyperstring?

  • @enthusia492

it didn't work with the hyperstring file but worked with another, but then my laptop stopped picking the synth up. frustrating stuff

  • @futurereflecti0ns First, make sure you have an .R3P file or (if you know how to do it) and .R3L file. If you do, then instead of double clicking it, try: dragging the file onto the editor icon, dragging it onto the editor window, or within the editor going to file>open and finding the file.

  • when i open the downloads, it takes me to the sound editor but the sound editor is blank.

    can anyone help me?

  • woah, 11,111 views haha cool

  • @visual1122 I've never actually tried using the R3 with a DAW. I'd assume once you install the USB drivers your DAW should detect the new MIDI device.

  • @JaPoSkEE Check the manual. It should be a setting under the edit menu.

  • This is video is very helpful. :-)

BTW, how do you change the patches back to their default factory presets? :-)

  • Man, that was so helpful. I could not figure out how to even get the software to recognize my R3... Thanks!

  • @casianoart Once you have the Editor open; when you connect the R3 it should work instantly.

  • what do you press on the R3 to make it connect with the computer? Do you just turn it on and plug it into the computer?

  • never mind thanks @Enthusia492 for having that piece of information!

  • okay i got everything but how to i put the patch onto the editor?i can't click and drag. i have a PC anyone please help?

  • @visual1122 no, I thought that as well at first. Patches for different synths will have different extensions. the R3 can only use .r3p and .r3l files.

  • @dogmus0011 I'm sorry, I'm afraid I've never used FL Studio. Also, I sold the R3 about 2 years ago. Perhaps you could check on a forum site?

  • How to do VST so I can play my Korg R3 sound in the FL?? please Help :)

  • @alberto9403 The R3's included editor software.

  • what program are u using ?
