The Delica unfortunately doesn't have full independent suspension like the Vanagons, but they look great

have to put the subaru engine in these vans. Head gasket material in stock motor is whack. No power ethier. I love these van's with the subaru engines

Most had a viscous coupling diff.

Mitsubishi do have a van that has 4WD, it's called the Mitsubishi Delica. They are only available in Japan though, but I'm sure you could import one 2nd hand.

You know if Mitsubishi or any of the other companies would build a small AWD van they could clean up esp if it actually did get good gas Mileage. I have seen some cool little vans in Thailand that could be converted to campers..Now for AWD

Ahh, the venerable Syncro -- viscous couplings to distribute torque front/rear (usually bad for demanding 4x4) - but they have a granny low first gear and they have axle diff locks (real diff locks!).
