You have to be very very careful when using acetone around the lenses. Depending on the material the lenses are made of you could ruin the lenses. And remeber you have to be 100% sure your frame is made from 100% acetate which is very hard to determine most frames are made out of other materials

is it dangers to do this....

@patty22eddy Acetone is a flammable substance, so exercise caution when working with it! Acetone can also dry out your skin, but evaporates quickly so you need not worry about acetone having an adverse reaction to your skin, as long as you let the frame dry the recommended amount of time.

how much would they charge to repair them?
DvcDouchstin 9 months ago
@DvcDouchstin The price differs per place. Some places may do this service for free, yet others may charge a fee. Call several places to get an idea of the price. Good luck!

my glasses broke at the left lens area, do you think I could still try this and snap back the lens when it's done?

@lobato87 You could try this, but we do not recommend it. For more difficult breaks like this, an optician or optometrist would be better qualified to attempt to fix your glasses.
