@williamcarothers2 yes, you use a bow because you want the challenge. when people use compound bows it takes away much of the challenge. that is my point in a nutshell.

@umidontno040394 I have access to all the guns i could want, but i would never shoot a gun before my longbow, to me a gun is just a crutch for people that look at hunting as more of a sport than an art or skill.

@CamperzHappy facepalm. no i didnt say that we shouldnt eat with modern forks. there is nothing better than forks/spoons/knives/chopsticks so we eat with those. if someone however wanted to use some old eating utensil (i do not know of any) that is outdated, it would be stupid if they put modern things on it to make it easier to use. oh and all the people on earth who rely on bows (which is probably less than 100 thousand) would all use probably guns if they had a stead supply of them/ammo

@CamperzHappy ...no hunting with a bow is harder than with a gun. but hunting with a modern bow is easier than any traditional bow. here is what i am saying. if you are going to modernize and old thing then why are you using the old thing? that makes it not the old thing anymore. might as well use something modern then.

@CamperzHappy yes, i realize that people use compound bows and such becuase they want long hunting seasons but, they dont want it to be challenging. if gun hunting seasons were just as long compound bows would disapear. and there are few bushmen left on the planet. like .001 percent of people are hunter-gatherers. i know how guns started. it would be just as stupid to put modern sights and stuff on a musket.

@umidontno040394 you dont need permits for bows, they are whisper quiet, the ammo is reussable and they are easier to mantain and actually it's not a few people that use them to survive but about every bushmen tribe left in the world... guns also started out as muzzle loaders and cannons you know? if you dont wanna advance with technology that's fine just don't bitch at modern archers and we wont shout back to you smartass
