This is a video of Blind Defeat covering YYZ by Rush after their last talent show in high school. We didn't rehearse the song but it went well. The song was played with our original music for kids who stayed after school to hear us play more.

  • Nice job dudes. Im a massive Rush head. Lil bit fast but you all know that. LOL I play Bass to, 17 yrs, and still Geddy can be a pain in the ass at times.....LOL.

I want to see Gangsters Triology from Roll the bones lads....any chance?

    Peace

    Dingz

  • @dinglenutzz Thanks! I would love to play Gangster of Boats Pt. 3! We fool around with La Villa Strangiato for sound checks. :P There's even talk of doing Bastille Day.

  • Detuned?

  • @burningxdimx I think we tuned to Eb.

  • Just a hair fast....this song is challenging enough at the right tempo....but very good job, gentlemen...definitely some talent!!! I enjoy seeing young musicians playing something besides the 3-chord stuff....It's so cool seeing you youngsters digging 'my' music!!!

  • Rush will always be gods to musicians. :D Regardless of age. We're considering Bastille Day next.

  • Damn! You guys are really good!

  • a bit too fast, but still a good cover. 8)

  • You Long-hairs are allright!!

  • The first drum solo in the solo section is a bit off... XP

It starts as 4 16th notes on the snare, and then follows down the toms as 16th note triplets.

    Sorry, it's compulsive. ^_^

  • i have been a huge Rush fan for ever and a guitar player for a long, and rather than be the technical wank that most of us Rush fans are, I got just two words... Fuck Yeah!

  • awesome, i loved the bass sounds

  • its faster than the original version
