This is my HTC TyTn II running Tom Tom GPS Sat Nav software. This works just as well as my TomTom One in both horizontal and vertical modes (auto adjusts) and also allows phone calls at any time!

  • Would the same configuration work on tomtom 7????

  • Yep, I've actually upgraded mine a couple of weeks ago :)

  • when using tom tom 6 on my HTC my battery runs dead even if i plug it in on the ligher and the battery goes hot

does anyone else have this problem

  • I recently noticed that when charging in the car (using a standard TomTom One cable) that it didn't seem to be charging properly. After a while the orange charging light goes go out and the phone feels hot. After some investigation is seems that the cable is wired slightly different to a standard mini usb cable hence the problem. The only solution is to modify the cable (sorry, don't know full details) or buy a genuine HTC car cable. I have just ordered one today so will report back!

  • guys how do u find ur gps setting like the signals??? cuz i have tom tom but when run it it says waiting for a valid gps signal! and it doesnt do anything!!! i dunno how to run the built-in GPS! any idea??? thanks

  • Hi

In TomTom, the following settings should work.

Go into "preferences" and select "gps receiver". Press "configure", choose "Other NMEA GPS receiver"

Select a baud rate of "9600"

    Select "COM4"

TomTom should then connect to the GPS receiver. You can tell if it has connected even if it doesn't have a satellite lock as the round icon at the top right will spin.

    Hope this helps

    Richard
