Harper the Miniature Horse

2005 Mini horse mare. She is my sisters and we love her! I don't mind opinions on riding her but don't be rude. Thank you.

@TheFlyingArabianPony: We drive her too. :P We have only been on her a few times ever, and unlike some people, we don't gallop her around or do anything more extensive then waking. I have a 30" Mini we would never ride.

Oh yeah she has no back troubles now, wait a couple of years and she bloody will have! There is no excuse to treat an animal like this. And the other thing is animals still do things that they dont like or what hurts them. Dancing bears, circus animals etc, horses are no different. Now get a fucking horse and leave that poor thing alone!

@no1horselover: You are very rude. How do you know all this? Personal experience? Or are you just judging. And don't say common since, because she would react in some way if she was uncomfortable. As an Equine Massage Therapist I know the signs to look for in a sore horse, and she has never shown any.

@MidnightEverAfter: No matter what your occupation, a person can make a mistake. Is it really worth risking a beloved mini horses well-being just so you can ride it? I'd say get a horse or pony to ride, but don't do something that could potentially harm your mini. If you really want a riding horse, get one! It will be much more fun, trust me. Shes too cute too risk!!!

@MidnightEverAfter At 0:32 you can clearly see she's uncomfortable. She loves pulling the cart though. You should read in on the 20% bodyweight rule.

As therapist you should also know that flightanimals hide their pain to not get attacked by predators. It's a biological system any horse has. Only with severe pain they'll clearly show, and that's when you're too late.

I don't doubt you love her to bits, but please consider not riding her anymore, as it's unhealthy for her back and legs.

What a special and sweet pony. I too rode my pony a little after I was too big for her, but be careful to not overdo it. She is too special to have anything preventable happen to her. I know you love her. I LOVED driving thanks to my little pony. And I had her for 32 years and her son for 30. Both are buried up in our pasture and I have some of the best memories of my life from them. Harper can come here with me anytime she's like. :)

Your pony is beautiful and well cared for and looks happy and calm .I own 14 ponies and not one of them will carry more then they want to .Shes not getting a sore back from a few minutes of playing . no1horsepretended should go to the auctions where I get my ponies from , and see how many of them would be happy to play with you guys for that kind of life .
