First in my planned series of random tips and tricks for solving the rubik's cube using Fridrich method.

This particular video is on:
1. Best way to handle corners stuck on bottom in F2L
2. Inserting awkward pairs without cube rotations in F2L

  • badMephisto is an Animal lover. I can see it in his hands.

    Thanks Sir BadMephisto

  • ROFL

  • ...maybe there is a reason why I listed this video in my "Advanced Cubing Videos" playlist

  • For that last part: The quickest way to insert the F2L pair without re-gripping would be to move the bottom two layer's ( d or d' ) and with that one move you can then easily insert the pair.

  • if you dont count those as rotations, then i can solve every single cube without a single rotation.

  • I hate when you have the corner but the edge is down below and you have to waste moves to get it up top. How do I fix this?

  • for case no 2 i just do (U R' F R F' R' F R F')

  • at 4:00 you can insert that pair much more easier with just three moves f R' f'

  • @jat989 LOL im an idiot... obviously you were right..... XD ignore the stupid algorithm of my previous comment...

  • correct me if I'm wrong but i think at 3:01 it should have been l2 R U' R' U l'

anyways, I still think you're the best EVER!!!!!! THANKS SOOOO MUCH!!!!

  • What types of cubes do you use (DIY, Rubik's brand)

  • So at 1:57 can't you just do a U2 L' U' L?

  • for the case at 2:35 (you place the pair in front of you) and do the algorithm:

    r U R' U' M

and for the case at 3:45 (you put the pair in the back) and do the algorithm:

    r' U' R U M'

  • WOW...my mind is blown...the way you finished the cube at the end!!! hahaha

I love your videos! I've watched about ten of them so far and I don't even have my cube with me. (I started 'cubing' yesterday and have solved one side and the corresponding edges and corners so far.) I can't wait to put this info to use!

Do you think it will be possible to get fast at cubing if I have nerve damage in my left hand (loss 1/3 of the use)? I am righty...do I need the left hand as much as the right?

  • 1:02 you could have done R U' R2 F R F' to get an OLL skip :P
