A DUD IS DEFINED AS ANY EXPLOSIVE DEVICE WHICH HAS FAILED TO DETONATE AFTER BEING FIRED. MANY SOLDIERS IGNORE REGULATIONS AND COMMON SENSE, TAKING DUDS HOME FROM FIRING RANGES OR TRAINING AREAS. THIS PROGRAM CAUTIONS THAT THE FIRST RULE IS NEVER TOUCH A DUD, AND THE SECOND RULE IS TO REPORT IT TO AUTHORITIES SO IT CAN BE DISPOSED OF SAFELY. DESCRIBES A COLLECTION OF DANGEROUS DEVICES WHICH MAY LOOK SMALL AND HARMLESS, BUT WHICH CAN EXPLODE FROM MINOR VIBRATION, HEAT OR HUMIDITY CHANGES. THIS INCLUDES TRAINING SIMULATORS WHICH CAN SEVERELY BURN OR MAIM. DUDS MAY BECOME MORE SENSITIVE WITH AGE. Poor tommy HaHa I grew up on Ft.Bragg and as a kid I crawled all the impact areas and yes I picked stuff upI knew what was safe to pick up and what wasnt .Big difference between an unused smoke grenade or parachute flare and a dud 203 round or a dud law round.Never fuck with anything that has a mechanical fuse and you will be ok.This movie is BS anyhow get caught with any type ordinance and 1.you will be out of post housing quick as shit 2. You will be before the man doing the rug dance and out.

I lived in Seal Beach California across the street from the Alamitos navel ammo dump. As a kid I snuck onto the base several times. Only got caught once. There were stockpiles of new ordinance of all sizes. It was very tempting to just grab something. I think this video is good idea to show to kids who live around these type of places. Maby show it in the schools (but first modernize it).
