I thought that by watching this you could be educated not be so ignorant about their struggle to give him as normal a life as possible. I can't believe u would suggest that someone with autism should not be allowed out in public places. Toddlers have paddies such as this but are not confined to their homes for people's safety! If ppl had a little more understanding situations such as that would not be so tough on the family.

Ok, well, no one's fault that he is autistic. And HE certainly can't help himself.

Then can someone enlighten me why they take him shopping, etc., etc.?? It's really irresponsible. He could cause a scene or be a threat to someone at any time.

I don't think this movie is true to life at all.

Not to mention I wouldn't have the brother's patience. I'd have slapped him, honestly - he mocks him blatantly when he spits the tampon out at him.
