Great song.... Reminds me of my camping days way, way back in the early 70's.

@allpy34 4 albums with the original band

I love this band. It's a shame they only made three albums. The twelve dreams of dr.sardonicus has to be my favorite album ever. My fiancee introduced me to these guys, their talent is brutal!

"If you remember the 60's, you weren't there".... so they say... I must have been there because I still have my old Spirit vinyl albums. Loved them back then.... love them now... THANKS cameronm55 for the great memories....you made my day !!

I personally feel that if Dr. Sardonicus isn't the best album ever made then it's definitely in the top 5... Even now it still sounds fresh and wonderful... What an incredible band they were!!!

......Love this song by Spirit as with SO many other songs and artists of the 60's and 70's-----I'm 58 right now and feel that there will NEVER be another era in the history of rock n' roll that will be better than the music produced during this time----Just listen to Led Zeppelin's 1st album from 1969 which is OVER 40 YEARS AGO or the Doors 1st album from 1967 and you'll know what I'm talking about-----Pink Floyd, another fine example----I could go on and on but there's not enough space here.

Being on my hard-drives, Zune, CD in the old changer, & LP in the closet (with a likely 45, somewhere); some of us have NEVER been without such good music. Jay usually knew how to do it and I'm happy to say I saw him live in all 3 incarnations, back in the day. My 22 yr old son goes forth with such gods tucked under each arm, and bless YouTube for making it available to more of the young. Stuff this good never dies, it just awaits the next discoverer, residing with us in the know, until then.

Thanks Dad! My father listened to this tape on car trips when I was young. He liked the classics Dylan, Floyd, Who, Stones and the Beatles but he also turned me on to lesser known groups like Spirit, Savoy Brown, Spooky Tooth, Curved Air, Taj Mahal and jazz like Eddie Harris, Les Mccann, Rashand Roland Kirk, Leon Thomas and Weather Report. THANKS DAD!!!!

I heard Spirit and introduced them to our band in the basement right after Dr. Sardonicus was released. Four finger count 20bucks. Wow that was unforgetable. We kept jamming on this song and to Love has found a way.
