@TheDukeljk People can tell the difference between animals and people. But whats not different is that we both feel pain. You need to learn empathy. I don't think you would say that if a more intelligent beings came to us and started torturing us you would say that their smarter so let them torture us and kill us - who gives a fuck. This is so fucking stupid. Under the law Vick did his time. What the fuck more do you people want. What do you think is done to animals like cows, pigs and chickens? they are killed for for food. It doesn't matter how the fuck they are killed, the point is that they are still dead and people still eat them. I wish people would show this kind of concern for humans. Cause honestly if it came down to a dog or a human, FUCK A DOG, CAT, TURTLE OR ANY OTHER ANIMAL BEING USED AS A PET!

@MalachorWraith to each his own. I respect your opinion, but ill stick to my own. I can't compare the life of an animal to the life of another human being in the sense that its unnatural for a genetically higher species to do so. However, i do see your point.

Only in the specific case that the animal and human made a relationship so close that it would come to be seen as similar to a human friend would i compare any violent act cross-species , but thats for personal feelings of the couple.

There are situations of murder that are less evil than torture. I'm sorry but the willful infliction of pain on a conscious living creature is disgusting. Accessory to shooting someone with a bullet is less evil than torturing something to death. I'm not saying second degree murder should be a slap on the wrist but dogs legitimately feel love, pain, and kinship to people. In all honesty, if I could 100% verify a torturer, I'd put them down like a bad dog.
