  • if you would have drilled a 7/8" hole you would not need a piece of pvc pipe spacer for the shank

  • I like your idea using a short piece of PVC pipe to add better support for the shank. The right tools do help, well presented, just felt like I was riding in an office elevator from the musak.

  • well the PVC space lets you tighten the nut without breaking the plastic door - I saw this exact kit already fully assembled from KegCowboy Kegerators for $149 and the tank was included in the price.

  • Well you wouldn't need it but as far as a moisture barrier it does the job and costs less than a buck
