PRCH board chair Suzanne T. Poppema, MD, denounces anti-abortion protests targeting LeRoy Carhart, MD, at his clinic in Nebraska. These are the first protests by Operation Rescue since Dr. Carhart's friend and colleague George Tiller, MD, was murdered.

Trust women to be the most qualified people to be making the best, most moral and responsible decisions regarding if, when, with whom & under what circumstances to become pregnant, remain pregnant and/or bring a(nother) child into this world and into her family. And despite your hyperbole, nobody is advocating that women kill babies... preventing there being a baby is kind of the point, you know?

26 weeks? a preemie can survive outside the womb at 20 weeks. Tell me, how does carhart destroy these babies? saline or d & e? you may want to reread the section in your biology class about a baby's development in the womb--he or she already has a heartbeat at 18 to 25 days--all major organs in place by 8-9 weeks--he or she already has fingerprints by then.

And you need to develop a brain of your own and stop obidiently swallowing all the pro-liar propaganda your side serves up. I'm a biology student, seen plenty of fetal development books. The terminations Dr Carhart does are for necessary reasons, primarily serious birth defects or threats to the mother's life. He doesn't do elective terminations past 26 weeks.

You need to spend less time on youtube insulting strangers and showing your ignorance, and more time in a book about fetal development--Who Carhart and his staff kill are NOT "pre fetal cell clumps"--but live human beings, in some cases, only months from being born. Is that what they told you?

I have met several women that were born because of rap. They are glad that they were not aborted. They have productive happy lives. I also met a woman that survived a saline abortion. She's now a recording artist with several albums out, married with children. Let's let the children live.

I thank God that there are doctors who are willing to provide this much needed service for so many innocent women, God bless Dr. Carhart!
