This week bjjweekly's Pete Roberts demonstrates how to use your body to create space and regain control while your opponent controls the sleeve grips. This setup is great for passing the De LA Riva Guard. Make sure to keep your elbow close to your body and your posture and base wide to avoid getting swept. You need to make this move fast, don't wait around or you will end up on your back!

  • Congrats on the Brown, Pete!

Any plans for more rolling reflections? Those were the best videos on the internet...

  • @afreiden thanks. we will def have more rr's this year!

  • Thanks for the video but it would have been nice to see another angle to see what your knee was doing on the other side with the Dela Riva hook exactly plus the both of you wearing black gi's makes it difficult to see, everything blends in

  • @bfpsu we just invested in some equipment hat will allow for some very nice camera movement and multiple angles.

  • Have the guy on the bottom pushing hard with his Left leg into your hip then try that move. You need to make clear that once that foot gets in there you've lost the race.

  • very good position, but to see this video(2min) I lost one minute!!! very publicity!!!
