Shape Shift Ch.3 part 3

We all did our best to keep straight faces, but with Kevin laughing, it's absolutely impossible, and soon enough all of us were doubled over, our laughs echoing through the entire bus, without a doubt waking everyone up. All four of us simultaneously pressed our forefingers to ours lips, an attempt to quiet eachother that just ended up making us laugh harder.

Eventually, our breathing leveled out, after a solid twenty minutes of avoiding eye contact with each other, in case it set us off once more. Finally able to handle ourselves, Joe draped an arm around my shoulder.

"I love you, Bren."
I turned to face him. "Random much?"
"Really though." His face went serious, which only happened on rare occasions, showing his sincerity. He cleared his throat, taking a second to collect his thoughts.
"You're the most perfect person to have be so important to us. You're always almost an exact replica of our fan base. When you don't really LOVE something we've done, neither do they. You don't like some of our ideas, neither do they. But mostly..." He smiled at his own thoughts.
"You love us no matter what. And they do too."
I gave him a smile, setting my hand on his knee while he continued.
"You're our best friend. Genuine, honest..and willing to get up at 3 in the morning, just to hang out."

"For real girl,"
Nick chimed in, resting his head on my legs from the floor where his laughter had stopped, and Kevin finished with a simple:

"We love you."

I grinned, my heart swelling with happiness that I had discovered only these three boys could give me.
"They love you for they same reason I do."
Their eyes peered at me, anticipating my response.
"You're the same boys that stood on stage over two years ago for 10 people as you are now for 1,000."

They nodded their heads in agreement, and we stayed there, wrapped up in our group hug, for the next twenty five minutes as we watched the ending scenes of the Transformers, the only part we had watched.

I shifted slightly, turning my head from side to side.

Kevin and Joe had each decided to use on of my legs as a pillow, Kevin's curls floping over his eyes. Joe's mouth was parted slightly, and even though I should've been grossed out, the drool that was running from the side of his mouth onto my sweats made me smile. Nick was lodged in between my legs, his head lolled backward towards the ceiling. Their heads were connected, just like they usually were at the hip. And here I was; their support.

I'd been around the world more than once. I'd seen all the sights and experienced the most beautiful things the world had to offer and money had to buy, but one thing was for sure;

All of those things combined, weren't anywhere near as amazing as the view I had at 4:13 in the morning, on the back of a quiet tour bus.
