sounds pretty wild. GMD broke that taxi/ takeoff switch as soon as he stepped on it in his demo though. must have been the boots.

while this is definitely a nice modulation stompbox, i have a tough time calling it a flanger because in most of the sounds i don't hear the "whooshing" white noise that are associated with flangers...it sounds more like a chorus/phaser type effect, but whatever -- they sound good...i really like the "takeoff" noises too...two things would keep me away (1) it looks big, (2) it has someone else's name on it -- you might hate me for it, but i have ideological problems with signature models

FWIW... Steve Stevens's ray gun effect is done w/ the VCO on a Lexicon PCM42 digital delay & is much more dramatic... BTW that rack unit is far better @ flanging & subtle chorus than most dedicated floor pedals are. The flange on this pedal is okay - though it sounds exactly like the Boss BF-2 I had in the '80s... which is either great, or not, depending on your taste. The "whammy" effect only cycles up & down unlike Paul's A/DA pedal which is controlled via 3rd Hand foot pedal (not included)...
