A Canadian veal farmer explains how he raises veal calves on his farm.
Transcript:
Ian -- Well with the calves, they come in, we start them ourselves. We actually pick them up at about 7 days of age. There on milk replacer for about 8 weeks and during that time we get them on to solid feed. From there they come into the grower barn where we switch them over to corn and as you can see from the pictures, they progress up to approximately 700 hundred pound weight and that's what they're marketed at.
