I just watched them again, counting as I watched. I think they're way out of time! Dazzling as their choresgraphy may be, it's no good if they can't do it to time (e.g. even allowing for a fraction of a beat after the '1', they're out). This smacks ot poor musicality.

She sure is, but it's a couple that counts and I think Mirko's partnership is more ....how can I put it...solid and mature and in my opinion Mirko is better in expressing and interpreting the music. Arunas/Katusha is still a very young partnership.

Very impressive, but the waltz she did with Jonathan was much better, more fluid, and more stylish. Arunas dancing with Katusha here looks very skilled but a bit laboured, while Jonathan and Katusha's waltz looked classy and effortless, like floating in clouds. No compeition. Look for this dance.

I am amazed at her absolute and confident trust that she displays in just falling gracefully in the swing that they do. I am just awed by her absolute trust. I don't think that I could feel that way. Just awed by it!!

As far as the timing, are you a judge of a competition? If not, get over it. The performance that they give is just breath taking.

@teddykan1 How can 'one of the best ballroom couples in the world not being able to count the beat' be the simplest answer for why it's off time? Surely anyone with an ounce of common sense would assume that the sound is out of sync with the video.

Oh, and a comment for the video; this is one of the most beautiful waltzes I've ever seen, the music is wonderful! Surely Arunas should be winning more than Mirko with performances like this...

Mirko's athleticism and crispness serves him particularly well in the Tango, QS, and VW, but, frankly, the only way he ever scored better in waltz than this man was like someone said earlier: POLITICS. That goes for the foxtrot, as well.

jop, its just that the audio track and video track don't fit together exactly. happens quite often, but in dance videos you normally can see it.

and to say a couple like they two would be out of time - thats poor...
